Crystallization

Batch vaccum pans
All batch vaccum pans are designed for a low hydrostatic
head, used in high and low purity strikes for elaboration of raw, standard and refined sugar. The advantage of this design is a low strike foot volume and a wide ratio of heating surface to strike volume, other significant features of this pan are:
- Less cost compared to other designs.
- Excelent massecuite circulation.
- Optional mechanic circulator.
- Less strike development time.
- Calandria with double flow inlet.
- Ease of non condensable gases exhaustion.
- Conical bottom to ease discharge of massecuite.
- Bottom feed of liquor and molasses promoting a better mixing with ascending massecuite.
- The higger body diameter, gives a greater massecuite volume over the calandria allowing for a lower boiling height.
